Future Glory, Glory That Is To Be

Romans 8:18
I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.

Paul reminds us (end of verse 17) that Christians needs to share in Christ's sufferings
if we expect to share in His glory. The sin of Adam and Eve impacted all of creation,
and it won't be free until people are redeemed. Paul made two basic points about this glory:
1. It's the climax in God's plan both for his people and for his creation generally.
2. God himself provides what believers need in order to wait eagerly and patiently.
The Spirit helps us pray, and God has promised us a glory that already exists in heaven
for which we are to simply wait in hope. (The Action Bible, WV)

We suffer because of man's fall in sin but let us focus on the future Glory and then we can persevere in temporary sufffering with hope. We can absolutely be certain of God's promise to bring final redemption to his people.
